Two ways to make cards

Pick your favourite!

Option one

Make at home, mail it in

The most flexible option. Use whatever paper, markers, stickers, and stamps you've got. Pop your finished cards into an envelope and send them to our Austin P.O. Box. We'll sort, photograph, and route them out with the next batch.

Option two

Show up at a popup

Bring zero supplies and meet some lovely strangers. We host drop-in popups every month at coffee shops, bars, libraries, and community spaces across the country. Tables, paper, ink, prompts: all on us.

A quick mailing guide

What to make

  • ·Any size between 4×6 and 6×8 works beautifully
  • ·Heavier card stock holds up best in transit
  • ·Skip glitter, perishables, or anything 3D. Postal sorters can be rough!
  • ·Front: a drawing, sticker, photo, or just bold lettering
  • ·Inside: a few warm sentences. See prompts below.

What to write

  • ·"I was thinking of you today." (Yes, even from a stranger!)
  • ·A song lyric, a recipe, a memory of someone you love
  • ·"Today I noticed something beautiful outside my window and thought of you"
  • ·Keep it warm. Skip politics, religion, or last names.
  • ·No need to sign your full name. First name and city is plenty.

How to ship

  • ·Tuck cards into a single envelope. Unsealed inside is fine.
  • ·Standard postage (1 stamp) for 1–3 cards. Weigh larger bundles.
  • ·Add a tiny note if you'd like a card to go to memory care, hospice, etc.
  • ·Cards arrive at facilities within 4–6 weeks of mailing.
  • ·We'll email you a thank-you the day your batch ships out!
